Fall Fermentation Class

Come learn the basics of fermentation with Allie from Chugach Farm! Allie is a pro when it comes to fermentation - she makes and sells everything from cauliflower sauerkraut to kimchi, all from her farm veggies. In this introductory course, participants will be provided with quart jars, fermentation weights, and veggies. The class will take place in the United Protestant Church’s commercial kitchen, where participants will learn from Allie and work alongside one another to ferment some veggies! All participants will take home a quart jar of ferments to enjoy at home. The class will begin at 5:00pm on October 1st, one hour into the Wednesday market.

This course is offered at a sliding scale! However, our website won’t let us do that (or at least in a way that we can figure out)… if you’d like to join the course but $60 is too much of a stretch, please email matanuskafarmersmarket@gmail.com! We can provide a couple spots for as low as $25!
