Learn the basics of veggie fermentation with Allie from Chugach Farm! Allie is a pro at fermentation - she makes and sells everything from cauliflower kraut to kimchi, all from her farm veggies. In this introductory class, you’ll learn the basics of fermentation and get hands on experience as a group making ferments. All participants will get to take a quart of fermenting veggies home!

The class will take place on Wednesday, October 1st at 5:00pm and may last up to two hours. the class will be held in the commercial kitchen of the United Protestant Church, where the market is held. You’ll be able to stop by the market, do your shopping, and then participate in the class!

This class is being offered on a sliding-scale cost! However, our website won’t let us do that (or at least not in a way that we’ve figured out)… If you’d like to participate in the course but can’t swing the $60 cost, please email matanuskafarmersmarket@gmail.com. A couple of spots can be offered for as low as $25!
